VaultForge runs entirely on your machine. There are no cloud components, no remote APIs, and no server-side processing. Every operation — from vault creation to search indexing to template rendering — happens locally on your device.
Your files, your vault structure, and your configuration never leave your filesystem. VaultForge does not establish, require, or attempt any network connections during normal operation.
Zero Data Collection
Solutions Forge LTDA, the company behind VaultForge, has no mechanism to access, collect, or view any data stored in your vault. We cannot see what you write, how you organize it, or how often you use the tool.
Local Search Index
VaultForge builds a BM25 search index to power fast full-text search across your vault. This index is stored locally alongside your vault data and is never uploaded, synced, or shared with any external service.

AI Assistant Context
When VaultForge is used alongside an AI assistant (such as Claude, ChatGPT, or similar tools), vault content provided to the assistant is governed by that assistant's own privacy policy and data handling practices.
VaultForge itself does not log, intercept, or interfere with any data exchanged between you and your AI assistant. It simply formats and delivers the context you request — what happens to that context afterward is determined by the AI provider you choose to use.
